This Wednesday begins the national day of collection of signatures of the people to demand that the United States (US) government cease its interventionist actions against Venezuela, the withdrawal of its threats of intervention and urge it to respect the constitutionality, the legality of the Bolivarian Government, Venezuelan sovereignty and independence.
During a meeting with intellectuals at Casa Amarilla, Caracas, on February 4, on the occasion of the commemoration of the 27th anniversary of the civil-military rebellion led by Hugo Chávez Frías on that same date, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela , Nicolás Maduro, called on Venezuelans to collect at least 10 million signatures from this Wednesday across the country.

«We are going to make at least 10 million Venezuelans sign on Wednesday, we are going to sign the document that we are going to take to the White House of the United States, in a day of solidarity and awareness,» said the head of state.

US President Donald Trump declared that a military attack against Venezuela remains an option and admitted that a few months ago he rejected a request to meet with his counterpart, Nicolás Maduro Moros, and discuss bilateral relations.

The United States has intensified since last January its tutelage over international siege actions against Venezuela and President Trump and spokespeople insist on reiterating their pretensions to opt for a military intervention against the Venezuelan nation, where they also promote a coup with the participation of factors of the national opposition.
