Hundreds of Palestinians protested  in the West Bank and Gaza Strip against US President Donald Trump’s questioned Middle East ‘Deal of the Century’ with Israel’s approval.

According to the Wafa agency, protesters rejected the so-called Deal of the Century, from which they were excluded, and expressed their support for the position of condemnation assumed by the leaders of Palestine, victim of a long conflict.

Hours before, clashes occurred between Palestinians and soldiers serving Tel Aviv in a refugee camp located in the West Bank, and there were marches in several cities in that sector, underscored the same source.

In the Gaza Strip, demonstrators staged a sit-in in front of the UNESCO offices in order to disqualify the document drawn up unilaterally by the United States.

According to a press release by Ahram, officials of the Hamas organization, headquartered in the Gaza Strip, repudiated the text outlined by the ruler immediately after his announcement.

We reject this agreement, we will not accept any substitute for Jerusalem as the capital of the Palestinian State, said a senior official of that group cited by the website and other media.

This is a project to benefit his main ally in the region and divert attention from the crises that Trump is going through – in the middle of a political trial – and Netanyahu – accused of bribery and fraud -, stated to Prensa Latina on Monday the secretary general of the Al-Fatah Movement in Egypt, Mohamed Ghareeb.

Although the content of the document is just beginning to be disclosed, Wafa advanced that demonstrations could occur in the next few hours.
